Overview

During the MCM 2 Beta I asked Robb Rinard if they could provide a text file that could be edited so that people could change the names of the riders. I suggested that they include the names of everyone at Rainbow, that way by default everyone would be racing the people that created MCM 2. He said he would look into it.

I thought it didn't make it into MCM 2. Someone on the MCM Central 2 message board found that the file PCNames.txt in the UI folder would change the names of the AI riders. It didn't for me though. While I was testing MCM Riders on the gold version of MCM 2 I noticed that the names didn't change in Pro-Circuit and I saw a name Kiki. I looked at the names in the UI\PCNames.txt file and they looked like Rainbow names. I guess they partially implemented my suggestion. When racing the SX, National, Baja, Enduro, and Stunts the names come from the Lang.DLL. When racing Pro-Circuit the names come from UI\PCNames.txt. MCM Riders will let you change the names for the modes that use Lang.DLL. I noticed that there is a Bruce in the PCNames.txt and that I didn't notice a Bruce in the credits for MCM 2. I'm curious if it's me?

MCM Riders

MCM Riders is a program that lets you edit the names of the computer riders in Motocross Madness 1 and 2. It does this by letting you edit your LANG.DLL which is located in the same directory as MCM.EXE. In order to use this some explorer settings need to be set.
